Rachael Skillman
Rachael Skillman studies what happens between a decision and the work that follows.
Rachael is a technology leader, operations strategist, and founder of Skillfully Developed, an AI implementation partner for accounting and CPA firms. Throughout her career, she has led enterprise technology implementations, automation initiatives, technical customer success teams, and cross-functional operational improvements.
Across these environments, she repeatedly encountered the same pattern: the information existed, but the shared understanding did not. Decisions lost context during handoffs. Automation performed tasks without preserving the intended business outcome. Meetings created more documentation without making the next action clearer.
That pattern became the foundation for a body of work Rachael is developing around Communication Engineering: intentionally designing the communication layer through which context, decisions, priorities, ownership, expectations, and action move between people and technology.
Today, she writes and speaks about organizational execution, AI-era operations, and how leaders can use technology to create better decisions and stronger execution—not simply more information.
